King Eljay – I recently heard a story the other day about a Barbie doll attempting to do something crazy. She walked around the lake and saw a monster dwelling under the water. The monster would splash her sometimes, but other than that, the monster left her alone. Other people weren’t so lucky, so you would think that this Barbie would realize that she’s being spared.
But no, instead of realizing this, she wanted to prove to everyone around her that she could catch the Loch Ness Monster in order to keep it from splashing her anymore. So she got her fishing pole and threw it in the water and began to taunt the beast.
The beast, surprised, shocked, and now, pissed off stormed the shore, towering over his prey. And at the last possible second, stops short, looks at her, and tells her.
“I got enough dirt on you to murder you…this is what the F**K I DO…This is a warning shot.”
This is the mental image I got as I listened to Eminem respond to Mariah Carey recently. I’m scared for Mariah. I’m not going to sugarcoat it, and I’m not going to act like I’m not concerned at all, because I sincerely am. I’d be more concerned if M.C. wasn’t married to arguably the lamest black man in the universe…
I said arguably. I’ll give him a chance…
It’s scary to have someone that lyrically imposing focusing ALL OF THEIR ENERGY ON YOU, whether if it is for three minutes or not. Unfortunately, the warning shot was well-deserved. From having Nick blog about coming out of rap retirement to diss Eminem (which, by the way, is by far the best joke he’s ever written in his life) to Mariah Carey having a song about the rapper being obsessed with her…
…(ALTHOUGH she went as far as dressing like him in the video, thus defeating the purpose of the song because now she’s OBSESSED with acting like a guy that’s supposedly “Obsessed” with her. Does ANYONE ELSE SEE THE IRONY HERE? Anybody?

It's Barbie! I really hope this doesn't end as history tells me it will...
Sorry, I digress again. It was only a matter of time before Eminem finally said “OK” and gave her what she wanted.
The thing about messing with the Lyrical Loch Ness Monster is that it’s probably bigger than what you could even imagine to handle, so it’s simple to say that Mariah Carey might’ve bitten off more than she could chew.
And I’d have to agree on this one, because there’s no way I think she could win in this situation, even if those phone calls included at the end of the diss were fake.
Especially since she’s married to the punchline of 3 out of every five jokes… but I digress…
A lot of people have been saying that the diss was uncalled for, and that he went too far with it, but I don’t think he did. If Mariah had just made the song dissing Eminem, then yes, “The Warning” went too far. If she had made the song and JUST dressed up as Eminem in the video, then yes, it went too far. But no…she made the song, dressed up as him, and then KILLED HIM in the video.
That might’ve been what pissed him off, because I remember watching the video and thinking, “This isn’t that bad, it’s actually kind of funny” until the bus hit him. Then my reaction changed to “Uh-oh…”
See, the thing about Eminem that people fail to realize (or they fail to acknowledge) is that Em is a battle rapper at his CORE. The ONE thing he arguably does better than ANYTHING else in his life is rap. His life revolves around his daughters and rap. That’s it. It’s scary to think that all of that energy is focused on ONE PERSON, especially when it’s obvious she doesn’t have the tools to defend herself.
Not to mention the SMALL FACT that Eminem’s never lost a publicized battle with anyone. Ever. He’s ended careers (Canibus, Limp Bizkit). He’s started careers (D-12, 50 Cent). He’s derailed careers (Ja Rule). His name is synonymous to the word “Ether”, and he is human kryptonite to anyone big headed enough to think they’re Superman and challenge him.
Or in this case, SuperWoman.
So I guess my recommendation for the Cannon Family would be to just chill out, take the loss, and hope the monster goes back to splashing like he was before they went fishing for death. That’s the sensible thing to do…
…But honestly? In my head as a fan of hip-hop, I’m secretly hope to GOD they respond again. I’d love to see Eminem go on a rampage and diss everyone on the list that dissed him within the last 3 months (Officer Ross included). After all, in Eminem’s own words…
“This is WHAT the F**K I DO….”
But I guess until recently, he just never had a reason to do it. So if anything, I guess I owe Mariah a thank you for re-sparking the fire in Eminem’s voice.
Because GOD KNOWS Nick Cannon wasn’t about to do it.

.....I'm not going to even comment on the pic...that's too easy...
Later.
King Eljay
P.S: By the way, it’s never a good idea to try and piggyback off a beef, even if your name is Cipha Sounds. That doesn’t even SOUND like a good idea…
